Underberg Bitters

Well I picked up a 3 pack of Underberg bitters. They come in single servings and are suppose to be a great digestive. I tried it straight and they are definitely bitter. They have overtones of cinnamon and other roots. The gentiana has a medicinal taste, but it's not overpowering. There is a subtle aftertaste that lingers, but it is pleasant.
It happened that I had a can of Coke sitting beside me, so I decided to mix the two together and it actually turned out pretty good. I'm sure traditionalists will say to only drink it straight, but it goes great with Coke too.

So where the heck can I find this stuff??
Underberg bitters can be hard to find, partially because it is sold in individually wraped bottles. If you look on the "single serving" bottle rack at your liqour store, they might have it there. The Underberg website can be found at Underberg Bitters
You can buy the product conveniently at this site. We offer the single 3 bottle soft pack either individually, or discounted by the case pack. Take a look at our site. We are less expensive than your local store.
Thanks and we appreciate your visit.
my customers ask for it in their ginger ale or will put it on a lime and suck to get rid of hiccups
it helps settle your stomach
its been around longer than me
you can still get it at liquor stores here in the city
Hmm. These bitters taste exactly like Jagermeister to me. Interesting. I wonder if they produce the same weird effects? I guess one could mix them with sugar and grain alcohol and possibly come up with a cheap, cheap clone of J ;)
You can buy these bitters at Morrisons supermarkets in their beers, wines and spirits section.
I'm a manager of one of these departments and was curious to see if they were any good.
At present £2.99 for a box of three small bottles. (High vol%).
Best cure for a hang over....drink straight up
