Since December 2007 I've been writing for Eat Drink, a Southern Ontario magazine looking at local restaurants and their menu's. I, obviously, have taken on the "mixology" column and my current focus is to locate local places that are serving good cocktails. Unfortunately, it has been a bit harder than expected, but I'll keep searching.

it seems to be good...but, why you say to use "gold rum"?? Thare are many differents golden rums, with different tastings. For example: can I use a golden rhum from martinique? I think no.
In writing cocktail ingredients, it's better specify what spirit you can use.
I just quoted the recipe word for word from the good Dr. Cocktail. Who am I to argue. Cheers
