Ambrosia Syrup

Class: Basic
Source: Canadian Journal of Pharmacy (1885)

Ingredients
1 Cup Raspberry Syrup
1 Cup Vanilla Syrup
1 oz Hock Wine

Instructions:
Combine all three ingredients and thoroughly mix.

Notes:
Hock wine is a term used for German wines, like Riesling.

History
Ambrosia syrup was served at soda fountains during the 1800's and into the 1900's. It probably reaches its peak in popularity during prohibition. Once Coca-Cola became the defacto soda pop, Ambrosia Syrup probably declined pretty rapidly.
