1. Women are more likely to be Super-Tasters
2. As are people of Asian and African decent
3. 35% of female Caucasians are Super-Tasters
4. 15% of Caucasian males are Super-Tasters
5. Caused by increase in the number of fungiform papillae (taste buds) on the tongue
6. As you age your ability to taste decreases
7. Men's taste decline more rapidly
8. Tasting is influenced by many things including heritage, exposure and personality (risk takers)
9. Many children are super-tasters, hence fussiness to certain foods
