Product Description
Appleton is well know for their aged rums, like Appleton V/X, Reserve and Extra, but it they do make a white rum. This rum is aged for up to two years in oak casks, but is water white in appearance because it is charcoal filtered before being bottled. The aging process mellows at the rum.

Label Text
Appleton White is a crystal clear rum mellowed in oak for a light aroma and delicate dry rum flavour. It blends perfectly with cola, tonic, fruit juices or other popular mixes.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Crystal clear

Aroma:
Fruity with molasses and hint of vanilla. Slightly alcoholic. The aroma is clean and very present.

Palate:
This rum starts off dry and very smooth with characteristic rum flavours. After a couple of second the flavours come through with vanilla, molasses and soft spices. Finished dry and clean.

Notes:
This rum doesn't get a lot of marketing behind it, but it is very good. It doesn't have the harshness that some white rums have. The aging process helps, I'm sure. The flavour is clean and bright. It's better than you think it is.

Speaking with Ed Hamilton, he indicated that this rum has improved from early versions and is one of the better white rums on the market at the current time.

Serving Suggestions :
Great in a rum based cocktail or a Rum and Coke.
