A dark navy style rum which is a blend of 18 Caribbean rums from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and aged for up to four years in oak casks. One of Britain's better known dark rums. Created by Alfred Lamb in 1849. The unique bottle was created to stop it from rolling on ships in heavy seas.

Created by Mr Alfred Lamb in 1849, Lamb's Navy Rum is made from a secret recipe using a blend of rums sourced from the four corners of the Caribbean. It is then aged to distinction in oak barrels to give it its unique smooth taste prized by rum drinkers the world over.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Bright brown with golden hues

Aroma:
Lots of molasses and rum aromas. Sweet with hints of wood and spice.

Palate:
Sweet, but not as much as you would think. Astringent oak on the finish.

Notes:
This is a fairly good dark rum. It is not as sweet as others and has an astringent quality that would play well with cocktails.

Serving Suggestions :
Good in a Dark n' Stormy or as a contrast to some of the sweeter tiki style drinks.
