This is a new release by the J.P. Wiser Distillery. It is a small batch, full flavoured, Canadian whisky, bottled at 43.4%.

This premium whisky has been hand crafted in limited quantities and bottled at the original strength of 43.3% to deliver Wiser's famous full bodied flavour.

Tasting Notes

Colour:
Deep golden brown. Bourbon like.

Aroma:
The aroma is very light to start, but after a minute, or so, it opens up and has the classic Canadian vanilla, oak, butterscotch aromas. Pleasant.

Palate:
Very smooth. More flavour than many other Canadian whiskies. Sweetness with flavours of vanilla and oak. Nice prickly rye finish with some warmth.

Notes:
This is a good whisky for the price. I've always like Wiser, since they make a more flavourful Canadian whisky. The Small Batch edition has some similarities to Crown Royal, but the Wiser's is fuller in flavour, but not near the level of a bourbon. Wiser's is know to use more rye in their mash bill than other Canadian whiskies.

Serving Suggestions :
Use anywhere in a cocktail that calls for whisky. It is fine straight up or on the rocks.
