Art of Drink

Victoria, Seattle and Portland

Travel and drink 2010 continues, this time I’ll be hitting Victoria, British Columbia for Art of the Cocktail (October 16 and 17) then I’ll be heading to Seattle for 2 days followed by 3 in Portland for Drink.Write 2010 and Portland Cocktail Week.

For Art of the Cocktail, I’ll be attending a few sessions, like the Oddballs by Ted "Dr. Cocktail" Haigh and having a re-union of sorts with some of the folks from G’Vine.

Next up is Seattle, one of the cities that started this whole cocktail trend. On my short list of places to hit are Zig Zag and Vessel, but with two night in town I’m sure I’ll hit a few more places.

After a few leisurely days of drinking in Seattle I’m off to Portland for Drink.Write, the gathering of the cocktail and spirit bloggers, at least those who can make it. I’ll be presenting Cocktail Blogging: Where do we go from here? with Camper English (Alcademics) which we’ll discuss our plans for world cocktail blog domination. And of course I’ll be crashing a few of the great bars in Portland.

So far I’ve booked my flight there and back, but haven’t determined my method for getting to Seattle from Victoria and then on to Portland. Most likely I’ll take a ferry then rent a car, so if anyone needs a ride let me know, or if you’re going from Seattle to Portland on October 20th let me know.
