Bitter Recipe List is Back

For those who don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook, I have finally recreated the bitters recipe database. It was originally "lost" when I migrated from one hosting company to another, but I have managed to find most of the recipes and have put them back together. I have also been adding more recipes from sources I discovered while writting Fix the Pumps, and the list is currently at 31 entries, with dozens more to be added. I'm currently trying to include any background information on the origin and history of these recipes. Some of the newest entries include Malta Knights' Bitters, Seamens Bitters and Bizzozero Bitters amongst many others. Enjoy.

A great initiative! I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to spread some of these without any caveats, though. Like for instance the Angostura recipe that contains actual angostura bark - Angostura isn’t named after the bark and has never contained it. I’m sure you’re aware of this, so I don’t mean to be condescending or anything. I just think perhaps the recipe should at least have a side note stating this?
The problem with including caveats is that you do it for one, you must to it for all of them. And really, I don’t have that much time to do the research, these recipes are merely pulled from old books. For Angostura I did include that fact it was a “copycat” recipe. With Angostura, does anyone really know anything about the recipe other than the Angostura executives?
