Boker’s Bitters

A well know bitters from the 1800s that was used in some cocktails. You can purchase Boker's Bitters at Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Bitters
Boker’s Bitters Recipe:
- Bitter Orange Peel
- 1½ oz
- Quassia
- 1 oz
- Calamus
- 1 oz
- Catechu
- ½ oz
- Cardamom
- 1 tbsp
- Alcohol 60%
- 16 oz
Instructions
Mix the solids, reduce to a fine powder and extract by slow percolation with the alcohol.
To prepare the bitters, mix 1 ounce of the above extract with 18 ounces of water and 12 ounces of alcohol.
